I have been stuck at 209 lbs for well over 3 weeks now.. I have cut out a bunch of carbs out of my diet..Majority of which come from 2 slices of wheat bread daily with my scrambled eggs and real OJ.

I just upgraded the distance i run on the tread mill from 1 mile a day to about 1.7 and want it to be at 2 miles by the end of the month...(Was told that i dont have to run the entire time and that for my weight and big calf muscles, i have to have cool down moments to let the excess acid get worked out of my calfs and thigh muscles so i can continue to run

The gut has no visible signs of declining but the chest muscles are ballooning and kind of catching up to my gut...(Thats not what i really want though)

What i dont really like about this whole "lose the weight first" approach is that i am not sure the wieght coming off is that which is around my gut..

I dont really wanna go under 200, and i doubt these stubborn 9lbs left will get my gut where i want it to be!!!!

I'd throw some weight lifting in the mix, at least 3 days a week. Muscle burns more energy than fat. This makes sense even when trying to lose weight. All that running actually has a catabolic effect on your leg muscles. Distance runners have tiny legs, the sprinters have thighs that rival NFL running backs'. Try doing wind sprints or cardio that focuses on high intensity in short bursts.

I don't know how you schedule your meals, but i'd try to break them down into 5 or 6 small meals throughout the day. Try to make breakfast your largest meal of the day. Eat every few hours, keep the furnace stoked and you will raise your metabolic rate and burn more calories even in a static state. Most importantly eat clean, you seem to be doing that already though. Drink as much water as you possibly can, the benefits to this are debatable, but on thing isn't, water has zero calories and it takes energy for you body to process all that water. Same thing with celery. Another thing about loading up on water, your body gets used to being flushed with water so it stops retaining all that water weight. That should help you shed a few pounds alone.

Try doing your daily cardio session first thing in the morning on an empty stomach with high intensity for about 45 minutes. Try not to eat anything afterwards for at least an hour, preferably two. Again this all has to do with "priming" you metabolism for the day's eating. Water is ok pre, post, and during.

A great alternative to jogging would be swimming if you have access to a pool. This is really one of the best all-around activities you can do for cardio. You end up working muscles you never even knew you had.

I do weights every time i go to the gym, its the only part i really enjoy in my work outs...

My treadmill work , i changed to suit my body, thats why i said i use cool off moments. I mostly run not jog on the treadmill (they have some good ones at golds gym that absorb shock extremely well and you dont hurt your knees) I run for about 3 to 4 minutes at a good rate, slow down and walk, then take off again for about 1.7 miles some times two miles if i am enjoying the movie they are showing..(great way to escape pain because at times i forget it and get caught up in the movies shown at golds gym where they have a theatre with tread mills instead of seats.)

I cant say my eating will ever change...I have a very very weak appetite and there isnt much i can do about it..I can only eat two meals a day (and these are not even that big, my typical dinner say at a restaurant would be the house salad and the 10oz or 12 oz steak or fillet, never finish sides or even touch desert unless its fruit)...

I will continue to pound away since winter is coming and for some reason i seem to be really scared of it..

How's your diet? Most people that are usually stuck on a certain weight start to lose that weight when they drink water - and nothing but...

hope all works out in the end :103631605
